Our inspiration for ‘Cuckoophantal’ was Cuckoo Bridge, a local landmark to E-ACT Nechells Academy. Cuckoo feathers form the repetitive pattern across the sculpture and the colour palette of metallics; golds, silvers, and bronzes, represents local industry, especially metal fabricators within the local area.
